Apfelstrudel Workshop in a Viennese Home

Enjoy a kosher Apfelstrudel workshop in Maschi’s beautiful private home in central Vienna. Learn to bake traditional strudel with an experienced local host, enjoy homemade appetisers and a welcome drink, and hear Maschi’s useful tips and personal insights into life in Vienna.
Apfelstrudel workshop with Maschi in her beautiful home:

Discover Vienna through its food and hospitality with an Apfelstrudel workshop in a private Viennese home. In her beautiful, spacious apartment on the border of the first and second districts, Maschi welcomes you with a drink and homemade appetisers before you begin baking together. It’s a chance to learn from an experienced cook and baker, enjoy generous hospitality and get a personal insight into life in Vienna.

Maschi puts care into every part of your visit, making sure you feel comfortable and involved throughout. With her guidance, you’ll prepare two Austrian favourites: Apfelstrudel, filled with apples, and Topfenstrudel, made with a sweet curd cheese filling. There’s time to ask questions, learn her techniques and enjoy the process, whether you bake regularly or are trying something new.

The conversation is just as much a part of the experience as the baking. Maschi loves telling stories and anecdotes about Vienna and its cuisine while offering local recommendations. Once the strudel is ready, sit down together to enjoy what you’ve made over coffee or tea. You’ll also receive the recipe to recreate the perfect Apfelstrudel back home.

Maschi’s Jewish heritage adds another personal dimension to the experience, bringing together Viennese and Jewish culinary traditions. Her kitchen and the ingredients used are kosher, making this a special opportunity for visitors who keep kosher to enjoy a local baking workshop.
