Our full moon tour takes place naturally about once a month and gives you the chance to spend a relaxing and romantic evening in the old Danube.
After dark, the full moon will light our way. Should it be covered by clouds, our boats are equipped with lanterns, which will show us the way to our starting point at the upper Old Danube.

why book our Full Moon Canoe Tour?
After exploring Vienna’s main sites and enjoying its many treasures, it’s time for an outdoors experience. Spend your evening rowing peacefully along the old Danube with your loved one and enjoy amazing views, a natural environment and a romantic atmosphere.
Important details:
Tour time: This canoe tour is offered mainly as a private tour.
Duration: The tour lasts about 3 hours.
Guide: Your canoe tour guide will be Stephan from Kreatour. He is highly experienced and will ensure your satisfaction.
Children: In general, children above the age of 5 can join the tour. However, this tour focuses on history and culture and is therefore better for adults. Parents must accompany their children and are responsible for their children during the tour.
What to bring: Make sure to bring water and food as no food will be provided during the tour. Each canoe has a 60kg waterproof bag to safely store your phone, food, and anything else you want to keep dry.
What to wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes! In summer, please bring a hat. Also, always check the weather forecast in advance to make sure you are dressed properly.
Interested in a public tour?
Upon request we can publish a public tour to reduce the tour’s price per person. A public tour costs 55 euros per participant and requires a minimum of 8 participants.
Tour conditions:
Minimum number of participants: The tour takes place as a private tour but can also be opened as a public tour upon request. It will take place as a public tour if at least 8 people are registered. In case there aren’t enough participants, we will unfortunately cancel the tour and issue you a full refund.
Cancellation policy: You can cancel your booking up to 72 hours in advance. If you cancel your booking less than 72 hours before the tour we won’t be able to issue a refund. Certain exceptions apply such as emergency situations. Please note, we reserve the right to cancel the tour up to 48 hours in advance too. We will do so if our guide is unavailable due to a sudden change or if we do not have the minimum number of participants required for the tour.
Safety rules: Each participant will be asked at the beginning of the tour to sign a waiver. Stephan will provide you with instructions as well as a vest and for that you will be asked to provide your height and weight during the registration process. Please contact us if you have any further questions in this regard.
Pictures and videos: Please be aware that we might take photos and videos during the tour. If you don’t want to appear in any Secret Vienna promotional pictures, please let us know by sending us a message.
