Achieving greatness through networking:
Do you believe in the power of networking? Many figures in Vienna’s history did. On our “Greatness through Networking” tour, we explore how connections shaped commerce, culture, and innovation in the city. Networks were always part of Vienna—traders worked together, musicians relied on patrons, and ideas were exchanged in salons and coffee houses. The tour looks at how people met, collaborated, and built relationships, and what we can learn from these examples today.
On this tour, you’ll hear about different forms of networks, from informal circles to more structured groups. We look at how artists, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers used connections to move forward. The stories show how networking influenced both creative and business life in Vienna. This tour is suitable for teams, students, and private groups, offering a clear and practical perspective on the role of networks.

Why this tour?
On our “In the Footsteps of Greatness” tour series, we aim to dive deeper into history and derive conclusions that can serve as life lessons. Instead of focusing on the “what”, we focus on the “how” and the “why” for a more profound experience.
In our eyes, every historical figure can serve as a mentor if we only walk in their footsteps. It can tell us what to do, how to think as well as what to avoid. For teams, learning from historical figures who forged valuable connections can bring a new and unique perspective. It can show that we have a lot in common with some of Vienna’s greatest personalities. They, like us, needed to cultivated mutually beneficial relationships. They too had to properly sell and promote themselves. Some needed funding and other type of support for their ideas or projects, just like we do today. Naturally, many of them can give much credit to their network as what enabled them to achieve greatness. We are convinced that the added value of this tour will go even beyond our regular, fascinating walking tours in Vienna.
