More than 450 years ago the famous Spanish Riding School, today known as the white ballet of horses, was founded and can still be seen as part of the UNESCO world heritage in the heart of the city. Not only for the Habsburgs animals had great representative importance, they played a major role in the everyday live of the inhabitants of Vienna as well. Still today Vienna has a special relationship to its companion, working and wild animals. Our guide Elisabeth Reinbacher, a passionate vet, will guide you in a two-hours tour through the historic inner city of Vienna full of exciting, sad and beautiful stories about animals and their influence of the social, politic and private live of people, that live(d) in Vienna.

Upon request we can publish a public tour to reduce the tour’s price per person. A public tour costs 25 euros per participant and requires a minimum of 6 participants.
Tour conditions:
Minimum number of participants: The tour takes place as a private tour but can also be opened as a public tour upon request. It will take place as a public tour if at least 6 people are registered. In case there aren’t enough participants, we will unfortunately cancel the tour and issue you a full refund.
Cancellation policy: You can cancel your booking up to 48 hours in advance. If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before the tour we won’t be able to issue a refund. Certain exceptions apply such as emergency situations. Please note, we reserve the right to cancel the tour up to 48 hours in advance too. We will do so if our guide is unavailable due to a sudden change or if we do not have the minimum number of participants required for the tour.
Pictures and videos: Please be aware that we might take photos and videos during the tour. If you don’t want to appear in any Secret Vienna promotional pictures, please let us know by sending us a message.
