The Kaiserschmarrn, a light and airy Austrian dessert, carries a rich history dating back to 1854, originally crafted by court confectioners in honour of Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) but became a favourite of the Emperor himself.
In our workshop, you’ll learn the secrets to creating the perfect Kaiserschmarrn, known for its fluffy texture, delightful mix of raisins, golden caramelization, and a gentle dusting of powdered sugar. We’ll also teach you how to complement it with a compote or stewed fruit using seasonal fruits, enhancing the flavour of this heavenly dish.
The baking workshop concludes with a tasting of the freshly made Kaiserschmarrn, served with plum compote and/or applesauce, allowing you to savor the fruits of your labor in a convivial setting.

Offered by: The workshop is guided by Kruste&Krume’s experienced bakers who specialise in traditional Austrian pastries. It was inspired by the rich heritage and intricate techniques behind the beloved Kaiserschmarrn.
