Breakfast in Vienna

Are you still looking for spots to eat breakfast in Vienna?

Sometimes we all need a break from our hectic work life and the stress we have to deal with. And what better way to do so than by eating breakfast and drinking Viennese coffee? Today I want to introduce you to a few nice spots where you can wind down and eat some breakfast in Vienna.

Café Bellaria

You can find this Café in Bellariastraße 6, in Vienna’s 1st district. It is one of Vienna’s oldest coffeehouses and definitely worth a visit. The owners kept true to their traditions but tried to add contemporary elements by updating their menu. During the week the coffeehouse offers breakfast from 8 am till 12 pm and on the weekends from 9am till 4pm. They offer a wide variety of different breakfast options. From more hefty options to vegan ones. I’d advise you to make a reservation if you want to eat breakfast here on the weekend.

Café Namenlos

This is the perfect spot for those of you that only want to eat a quick breakfast. The Café Namenlos is located in the 8th district – Lange Gasse 31. You can eat your breakfast here during the weekdays from 8 am to 12 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm. Their menu offers quick breakfast options for all your desires. Let it be granola with fruit, sandwiches or some finger food.

Stadtkind

Just a few minutes away from the Schottentor, the Stadtkind is one of my all time favorite spots. You can eat breakfast here from 9 am to 12 pm (during the week) till and 3 pm (on the weekend). The Stadtkind also offers a vegan breakfast option as well as sweet options. Try their pancakes if you’re up for something sweet.

Freiraum

Located near the Westbahnhof, you can find the café/bar/restaurant Freiraum in the Mariahilfer Straße 117. This spot not only has some really good coffee you definitely shouldn’t miss out on, and they also offer breakfast till 5 pm. They offer a big variety of vegan and vegetarian options, but also basic breakfast boxes. Freiraum is easily reachable via the U3 or U6. Those of you who are up for a stroll through the Mariahilfer Straße can also reach this spot by foot.

Parémi

This is the perfect spot for whoever is missing France. You can find the boulangerie and pâtisserie in Vienna’s first district (Bäckerstraße 10), they offer fresh baked goods and a nice variety (also veggie and vegan options) of breakfast and lunch dishes – don’t miss out on their croissants. They are open Tuesday to Saturday from 07:30 am to 6 pm. It’s quite a busy spot, hence why I’d advise you to make a reservation if you want to eat breakfast here on the weekends.

Öfferl

Located in Vienna’s first district – in the Wollzeile 31 or in the Schottengasse 3 – this store and their menu has its focus on bread, their products come from regional suppliers, and everything is organic. At the moment their bistro isn’t available.
