Our Top Christkindlmärkte in Vienna outside the inner city

Have you already visited some Christkindlmärkte in Vienna? If so, perhaps you are still looking for new ones to explore, perhaps even some outside of the inner city. Here are some of our favorite Christkindlmärkte outside of the 1st district. 

  1. Weihnachtsmarkt im Türkenschanzpark || 11th of November – 23rd of December

Located in the 18th district, this park is a spot full of history. This Christkindlmarkt has its focus on handicrafts and culinary goods. Here you can indulge in traditional Austrian snacks, but also vegan options, making it the perfect spot for almost everybody. You can also visit this market with your dogs. 

  1. Adventzauber Klimt-Villa || 27th of November; 4th of December; 18th of December

On a few days you can visit this historic villa to take part in tours through the building and to take in the small art market. Be aware that you have to pay an entrance fee, but this allows you to visit Klimt’s last atelier and their special exhibition. 

  1. Mittelalterlicher Adventmarkt || 1st of December – 4th of December

This market in front of the Heeresgeschichtliche Museum has its focus on medieval products and handicrafts. This spot is perfect for families with children, many attractions are made to focus on the younger audience. Here you can also indulge in medieval food and drinks.
