Visit the Mayer am Pfarrplatz- one of our favourite Heurigen in Vienna!
Warmer weather means we can find our way to Vienna’s outer districts, to visit Heurigen, drink Viennese wine and enjoy the unique atmosphere. Today I want to introduce you to one of our favourite Heurigen. Its name is Mayer am Pfarrplatz and it’s located in the 19th district.
The history of their winery traces back to 1683 – even Ludwig van Beethoven used to live in this house in 1817, while he composed his 9th symphony. Today this Heurigen combines old traditions with modern touches, you will get to experience a part of Vienna’s history, while enjoying their signature wine and their traditional Viennese food.
This Heurigen is open daily from 12 pm to 12 am. I’d advise you to make a reservation, since this is quite the popular spot among people from Vienna. More information can be found here.
