There are always new things to explore, new places to visit and new events to check out in Vienna. This very month is full of exciting things to experience, hence why we want to introduce you to the top Vienna events in November.
Wien Modern Festival | 29th of October – 30th of November
Have you heard of the Wien Modern Festival? This is the biggest festival for contemporary arts music in Austria. Throughout this November you can visit locations, like the Konzerthaus, all over the city to get in touch with contemporary arts music. Make sure to visit their website for more information about the upcoming concerts.
Wiener Lichtblicke | 29th of September – 27th of November
Till the 27th of November you can watch how installations transform Vienna’s streets and parks also squares into works of light art. In the evening and early morning hours, you can visit the light lines and light images visible from afar. On six special tram drives will also be taken to the different spots in the city to take in the installations. Make sure to visit their website for more information.
Kinderfilmfestival | 12th of November – 20th of November
For the 34th time the children’s movie festival will take place this November. From the 12th to the 20th of this month you and your children can watch selected contributions from various European countries and also films from both Canada and Argentina also Russia and lastly Iran. They show the films in their original version and speak them live in German directly in the cinema. Visit their website for more information about their program
neunerhaus Kunstauktion im MAK | 7th of November
On November 7th you can visit the MAK (Stubenring 5/Entrance Weiskirchnerstraße 3, 1010 Wien) from 6 pm on, to take part in their 22nd art auction. Make sure to study their program and don’t forget to register beforehand. More information can be found here
Fesch’markt | 11th – 13th of November
From the 11th to the 13th of November you can visit the Ottakringer Brauerei to visit this special market. Their motto is “Design, Food und Lifestyle”, so you can walk past the different stalls offering vintage clothes, crafts, furniture and many more things. The entrance costs 7€ (it’s free for children), dogs aren’t allowed inside. More information can be found here
Vienna Art Week | 18th – 25th of November
70 different partners come together for this yearly event to offer inspiring art from the Baroque to the present with free admission. This year’s theme is “Challenge Orders” to question norms and orders in artistic practice. You can visit this event from November 18th to the 25th, check out their program here
