Vienna’s Bezirksmuseen – museums full of Viennese history

On Sunday March 17, the Bezirksmuseen (district museums) of Vienna will be open to the public from 10 am until 4 pm. There are 23 museums to visit and the overall theme of the event is “Zu Gast in Wien” (“As a visitor in Vienna”) .

Each museum offers different activities, including tours and special talks. And if no time for these, a walk around the museums will give you a good overview of the districts’ history as they are full of pictures, maps, and other curious objects that we are sure you will enjoy. This is definitely a good opportunity to learn a bit more about your district as these museums are not usually open on Sundays.
