Afrika Days
Till the 8th of August you can visit this festival, taking place on the Donauinsel. With many international musicians on the main stage, an exuberant celebration will take place at the Afrika Tage Wien. This year the festival will be once again held according to the specifications two quality labels. These are the “ÖkoEvent” as well as the EFFE label for remarkable festivals. On the Charity Mondays no entrance fees will be charged, but the organizer asks for voluntary donations directly to the aid organizations that have their information booths on the grounds. dotdotdot Filmfestival
Evening-long open air short film screenings & film talks take place every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at dusk in the garden of the Volkskundemuseum Wien, till the 31st of August. Tickets for the respective evening are available at the box office. The festival requests the purchase of a ticket at a price of your choice. Click here for more information.
Blue Bird
Usually this festival takes place in November, for three days, a wide variety of representatives of the hard-to-define musical genre of songwriting will present their very different approaches. This year on the 10th of August (starting at 5 pm) they are putting together a live concert with different musicians, taking place in the garden of the Filmarchiv im Augarten, Obere Augartenstraße 1e. Perle Pop Up
From the 3rd till the 30th of August you can visit this pop up (Gumpendorferstraße 66) to support local female creatives. You will stumble upon a curated selection of jewelry, ceramics, illustrations and prints, candles, glass and crochet art, as well as textile printing and selected 2nd hand fashion by local creatives.
